Michigan was a blast (minus the sick kids)!
I spent the first part of the week with an old friend.....we have known each other about 6 years now! It was nice to see her and to know she is doing fairly well. :) We ate at one of my favorite places-- the Elephant Bar in Toledo, Ohio. We swam and relaxed in a pool and got a hotel for the night to just relax and be away. It was a very good time and I'm glad it happened.
I also seen Ms. Holoway (my old violin teacher in middle school as well as my private violin teacher for years after). We are good friends and she is a must see whenever I go back to Michigan! I also had a great time talking to her and having lunch, but especially I loved playing duets together!!!
I also saw my old friend Pat. It was nice to see him as well. We ate at China Express, a place we use to eat at a lot when we were taking the same classes years back. I can't believe that is is nearly 3 years since I moved to Utah!!!
I spent most of my time with my family, and they deserve the most time. I liked playing with the kids and bonding with each of them (though I stayed away for some of the time due to them being sick). I sure do love them. :) I also liked spending time with my turtles!
I graduated a few days before I left for MI, and Daniel's parents and my mom came out to visit. Thanks guys!
Now I am just sitting and waiting (which is super annoying) for my field camp to start.
In July we are visiting some of Daniel's family in Boston.
In August we might go back to MI for another visit.
In September I am going to GSA in Colorado.
Some time this year, Daniel and I want to make it to Mexico.
Those are our plans thus far for the rest of this year.
