For the past 2 months I have been having chest pain. It makes it very difficult to be a geologist when I can't just run up a mountain whenever I want to!!! I have seen the doctor and am getting it taken care of, which is nice because I feel like I can do something about the pain instead of always thinking of ways to get better.
I have been struggling this semester getting my homework done because I feel tired and the pain makes it hard to concentrate. Today is the first day I feel like myself again. I feel like I could run a marathon ....or run up stairs to campus haha.
Daniel has been amazing through this, being ever so patient and caring for me. This being the first day I could concentrate in class means I have to catch up on every one of my assignments. I still have to take it easy, but it's time to crack down on life.
Here it goes!!!
What was wrong? I hope nothing serious! Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteThe doctor isn't sure what it is. I had an EKG done with one odd blip on it, but I don't think that was anything serious.
ReplyDeleteHe did mention that my chest could be inflamed from a previous illness....but I haven't been sick in quite a long time. I am taking 800 mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day just in case it is that. This seems to be working, but once the ibuprofen wears off I start feeling the pain again and it reminds me that I have something wrong.
He also mentioned acid reflux (esophagus problems). But I am not feeling heart burn. I am taking the off brand of prilosec to treat that.
These are the only two things he is treating.
